Key Pen writes and releases R&B and soul through Rocky Bay Productions.

The debut single takes its title from a line printed on its own cover: skip the seat, skip the suite, save it for the shoes. The artwork puts the rest of it in one frame, a black heel with a red sole set against torn paper and brushed lettering, and the song is about the same thing the picture is: where the money actually goes when nobody is grading the decision.

One September moved the attention somewhere quieter. Its cover is a lecture hall, a worn backpack, a torn notebook page with the title written on it, and a pair of gold studded sneakers, which is a fairly exact picture of a first day back and everything a person decides to be that year.

The Island Remix of Save It For The Shoes takes the same song somewhere warmer.
